Canada is a country committed to family reunification and keeping your loved ones together. For this reason, the government of Canada has put in place the opportunity to sponsor certain family members. 

The family sponsorship program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to bring their family members to Canada with a fairly quick processing time compared to other types of applications.

As a sponsor, you must meet several eligibility requirements in order to sponsor your family members. Also, the intended family members to be sponsored, need to meet certain requirements.

What members of your family are eligible to be sponsored?

• Parents and Grandparents
• Dependent Children and Grandchildren
• Spouse, common-law partner, and conjugal partner
• Orphaned brother/sister, nephew, niece, and grandchild
• Adopted Child
